Family Safe Computers is a Christian focused Internet and computer safety non-profit organization with a mission to assist parents and adults in dealing with technology in their home.

What We Know
Parents are busy with little time for messing with computers. Their children, however, have been raised in a technology-oriented society and embrace computers with ease. As a result, many frustrated parents turn control of the computer over to their children. Such disassociation isolates parents from understanding threats associated with using a computer.

Parents need to understand that a computer is no longer just another electronic gadget but a port to the outside world. It has become an essential communication and entertainment tool for an entire generation of "plugged in" youth.

Just because today's youth are comfortable with technology, does not mean they should be unsupervised. If parents remove themselves from responsibility who will monitor? At FSC one area of concentration is bridging the technology gap between parents and their children. A parent in control is a parent who knows what their children are doing.
